About Us

BarkaLLah Islamic Community has been serving Muslims in the Tampa Bay area since April 28, 2000. For over two decades, our community has remained committed to worship, education, family support, and intentional youth development.

We strive to create a welcoming environment where individuals and families can grow in faith, strengthen their connection to Islam, and build lasting bonds. At the heart of our mission is a strong focus on raising the next generation of confident, God-conscious, and community-driven Muslim youth, equipped with both Islamic knowledge and positive character.

OUR IMPACT

25+ Years of Service: Serving the Tampa Bay Muslim community since April 28, 2000, with a legacy of faith, unity, and community development.

200+ Community Members: A growing and vibrant community of families, children, and young Muslims actively engaged in learning, worship, and community life.

Ongoing Islamic Education & Youth Programs: Providing online Islamic schooling, Qur’an learning, and monthly quizzes and competitions designed to engage, motivate, and nurture young minds. Plans are in place to reintroduce in-person classes and expanded youth programs.

Youth Engagement & Development: Actively creating opportunities for youth to:

  • Participate in Islamic learning
  • Build confidence and leadership skills
  • Stay connected to their faith in a supportive environment
  • Grow alongside peers in a strong Muslim community.

Multiple Nikkahs, Walimahs & Naming Ceremonies: Supporting families through important Islamic milestones and strengthening community bonds across generations.

Active Community Outreach: Partnering with the Tampa Bay Muslim Alliance Annual Charity Festival to provide essential services and support to our neighbors and the wider community.

Inclusive Community Service: Serving Muslims from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, fostering unity beyond any single community.

Proud Member of NCNMO: A recognized member of the National Council of Nigerian Muslim Organizations (NCNMO), contributing to a broader network of Islamic leadership and collaboration.
